A Day of Service and Lasting Impact

On Friday, April 24th, join us for Impact Day 2026, a neighborhood-wide day of service and celebration in West Philadelphia. Together, we’ll raise funds and roll up our sleeves to create visible, lasting change across our community.

🌱 Help open our community garden and green spaces for the 2026 growing season.  

🛠️ Rejuvenate neighborhood porches through our “Porches that Pop” program. 

🌷 Contribute to block beautification and make our community shine.

🎨 Get creative! Craft Mother’s Day cards, make bookmarks, hanging planters or macramé planters, wreaths, and so much more! 

When: Friday, April 24th from 9am - 3pm

Please Note: we are no longer accepting volunteers online. You may still show up to the event tomorrow to volunteer on-site. Volunteer check-in and registration starts at 9:00 am.


Day of Volunteer Information

Below is everything you need to know before you arrive, including your project assignment and day-of logistics. 

Arrival & Check-In

Check-in will take place at 5901 Market Street, Philadelphia. Check-in time is from 9:00 – 9:30 AM. Please plan to arrive during this window so we can get everyone checked in, geared up, and ready for the kickoff. 

Getting There & Parking 

Street closures will be in effect around the event area and public transportation is strongly encouraged. The event is located a block from the 60th Steet Station stop on SEPTA’s L line.  

If you choose to drive, we have a parking lot located at 4601 Market Street. Please enter the lot on Haverford Ave, between 46th and 48th Streets. A shuttle will pick you up and take you to the event area. We encourage everyone to be in the lot by 9:10 am in order to arrive to the event on time. 

What to Wear & Bring 

  • Comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting dirty  

  • Closed-toe comfortable shoes  

  • Reusable water bottle (bottled water will also be provided) 

  • Sunscreen / hat (you’ll be outside for most projects)  

We’ll provide you with an Impact Day t-shirt at check-in. 

Food & Amenities 

  • Light breakfast will be available during check-in  

  • Lunch will be served at 1:00 PM  

  • Water and snacks will be available throughout the day  

  • Restrooms are located at the main event area at 5901 Market Street. 

Day-of Schedule 

9:00 – 9:30 AM | Check-in & breakfast 
9:30 – 10:00 AM | Kickoff program 
10:00 AM – 1:30 PM | Volunteer projects 
1:00 PM | Lunch served 
1:30 – 3:00 PM | Wrap-up 

We ask that you plan to stay for the full project timeframe. If your group finishes early, we may direct you to support another nearby project so we can maximize impact across the neighborhood.
